Valley Chemical Fire Company
Firefighters - Fire Police - EMT/QRS
The Valley Chemical Fire Company meets every Monday Night of every Month at 1900 hours. The schedule for the events on Mondays are as followed:
First Monday of Month - TruckCheck/Inspection
Second Monday of Month - Regular Monthly Meeting (1930 hours), Followed by Relief Company Meeting
Third Monday of Month - Training Night
Forth/Fifth Monday of Month - Training/Work Night
If you are interested in becoming an active member, junior member, or a social member, please stop by the station any Monday night at 1900 or contact any member and we will get you an application and show you the station and equipment.
Send in your local events and all will be posted.
Chad Northcraft, Fire Forester of the Weiser Forest District 18 will be holding the following classes. PA-130 - February 2nd, 4th, and 6th at the Catawissa fire company starting at 1800 running until 2200 on the 2nd and 4th and starting at 800 running until 1600 on the 6th. The Field location is yet to be determined.
S-190 - February 9th and 11th. at the Catawissa fire company starting at 1800 running until 2200.
Please spread the word we NEED at least 15 people to have the class.
Valley Chemical Fire Company along with our Ladies Auxillary will be assisting the Red Church congregation with their doughnut sale. Volunteers are needed on Friday February 12th from 9AM until approximately 12PM for set up and Saturday February 13th from 8 until 4. This is a joint fund raising effort for both organizations. If anyone is available, please contact Mark Sharrow, John Purnell, Cale Beaver, or Denny Fahringer. All help is appreciated.
On February 20 and 21 a Wildland-Urban Interface class will be held at the Clover Fire Company in Heckscherville. The class will begin at 0800 and last until 1700. Class size is limited to 30.
Dave Warfel will instruct the class. Dave is a state instructor and also a certified wildland fire crew boss. This class is the first of its kind in the area and will look at wildland fire behavior and how it impacts structural and wildland firefighters.
